As a Southern Baptist Church, we join with likeminded Christians in spreading the gospel around the world through the ministry avenue of The Cooperative Program. Our Slogan: "Sharing God's Light and Love as Fully Devoted Followers of Christ", is more than just a catchy phrase. We hope that it gives you insight into just who we are. Our Purpose: The Proclamation of Our Message........Through Evangelism and Missions The Celebration of Our Relationships....Through Worship and Fellowship The Application of Our Gifts..............Through Discipleship and Ministry Our Logo: The Lighthouse - is a visual image to assist us as a Church to fulfill God's Biblical request to "Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven". (Matthew 5:16) First of all, I want to welcome you to our website! I trust that your visit with us via "cyber-space" has been ordained of the Lord and I would love to have the oppertunity to meet and greet you in person! If you are not already involved in a local church in our area, or if you just so happen to be visiting our area, I would like to extend a personal invitation to you, and your family and friends, to come and worship with us on Sunday @ 10:45AM and 6:00PM. We also have Bible Study (Sunday School) each Sunday @ 9:45AM and Descipleship Training @ 5:00PM. Our regular scheduled Mid-Week Prayer Meeting is Wednesday @7:00PM. I was converted from "religion" to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ at the age of 17. Shortly thereafter, I sensed God's "call" to prepare myself for vocational ministry. Ihave been licensed (1993) and ordained (1995) to the Gospel Ministry by the Rocky Bayou Baptist Church in Niceville, Florida. I have also received a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from The Criswell College in Dallas, Texas and I am currently pursuing a Master's of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. I have been serving God's people for a total of 13 years now as a Pastor. I have been saved for 22 years. I am 39 years old. My wife and I have been married for 17 years and we have 3 teenage sons. God has recently called us to Jenkins Memorial Baptist Church, and we are delighted to be here! We are looking forward to what God has in store for His people here in St. Martinville.
